It never felt so good to have the BLUES!

This is the official Root Doctor Website. Mike Skory has stepped down as our keyboardist after many years. Our replacement is the renowned keyboardist, Chris Corey. Chris joined Root Doctor in January of 2017.

Meanwhile, Root Doctor will turn 30 in 2019 and we are planning to celebrate all year. It will start when we ring in the new year on the Michigan Princess on December 31st. We are working on making it a fabulous, fun filled year. It has been an amazing ride filled with fabulous musicians. We are excited to see what the new year brings.

In the meantime, we will be updating our site. We have lots of new photos and videos to add and much more so look for a sparkly new site soon.

New Attitude CD cover

NEW ATTITUDE

As a veteran, award-winning Michigan blues outfit, singer Freddie Cunningham and Lansing's Root Doctor have established a solid reputation for their engaging live shows. But with New Attitude, recorded and mastered by respected producer Glenn Brown at East Lansings™ GBP Studios, the band also sets a new high watermark for its studio work, generating blues sparks on originals “ many of them written by Lisa Bonotto and keyboard player Mike Skory“ that ooze buckets of soul. From the classic blues vibe of âœPay the Rent” to the horn- and guitar-saturated âœThe Other Way to the Cajun flavors of âœLouisiana Bound,” Skory, guitarist Bill Malone, bassist James Williams, drummer Bob Gardner and a host of special guests add just the right touches to Cunningham's vintage vocals ~~ John Sinkevics.
